Zachary James Livengood

Zachary James Livengood, 22, of Bruceton Mills passed away Saturday March 12, 2011 at UPMC-Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after battling a lengthy illness. He was born January 6, 1989 in Titusville, FL a son to Lee Livengood and the late Michelle Petersen Livengood. Zachary was a 2007 graduate of University High School. His hobbies and interests included hunting, fishing, golfing, playing sports, drawing, and solving Sudoku puzzles. He enjoyed hunting and going fishing with his dad and friends throughout the years. Camping and fishing were always fun with his dad and grandpap at Wapacoma. They also enjoyed canoeing the South Branch in Romney. Zachary also enjoyed spending time and helping family, friends, and neighbors with anything that needed done. As a teenager he was on the baseball travel team while he battled Lupus treatments. While playing both basketball and baseball his teams won the city championships. Every year he would help his grandpap put up his Christmas decorations and help Myia get all of his cousins settled down for the yearly Christmas photo. He also enjoyed spending time with Mama and Papa in Meadville, PA. He also loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his pets. He was also a soon to be Godfather. Zachary was Catholic by faith. In addition to his father, Lee Livengood, he is also survived by his step-mother Libby Livengood of Morgantown; paternal grandparents James and Josephine Livengood of Morgantown; maternal grandparents Pete and Audrey Petersen of Meadville, PA; his fiancé Mindy Williams of Bruceton Mills; uncle Joseph P. Livengood and wife Missy and their children Haley. Jackson, and Ethan all of Alabama; aunt Susan Kirkendall and husband Gary and their daughter Elaina all of Bruceton Mills; aunt Kathy Bo Bo' Blackwell of Florida; and aunt Michaeleen Davis of South Carolina. Zachary is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to his mother he was also preceded in death by step-grandparents Bob Davis and Georgia Lee Davis and a great aunt Mary Ann Rice. Zachary will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Tuesday March 15, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Wednesday from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 12pm noon until time of services at 1pm with his great uncle Rev. William Haugaard officiating. Cremation will follow services. Zachary was a wish child in 2002. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Zachary's name to Make A Wish Foundation 3711 Morgantown Industrial Park, Morgantown, WV 26501.
