Yolanda Lea Turner, 76, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 27, 1950, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Foster and Ruth Shaver.

Yolanda worked for the City of Morgantown in the Code Enforcement Department and later spent over ten years with Walmart before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends and crocheting. She loved her family with all her heart and especially cherished the time she spent sharing and teaching her grandson Josh, and later her great-granddaughter Isabell, how to prepare the family's favorite recipes.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina Thomas and Diana Jones; her son, Michael Turner and his wife, Tina; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Yolanda is also survived by her three sisters, Sharon Jackson, Sandra Bragg and her husband David, and Teresa Donaldson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Shaver; and her brothers-in-law, Tad Jackson and Raymond Donaldson.

Honoring her wishes, cremation is being provided by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home 10 S. High Street Morgantown, WV 26501. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced.
