Willis Eugene Shoemaker

Willis Eugene Shoemaker, 63, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after fighting heart disease for several years. Willis was born in Fairmont, WV on July 2, 1960 to the late William & Sandra (Parsons) Shoemaker.

In addition to his parents, Willis is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Shoemaker; his most special nephews, Christopher and Wayne Shoemaker; and his son-in-law, Jeffery Boord. He is survived by his loving wife Norma Parrish Shoemaker; sons, Thomas of Rivesville, WV and Jason of Doylestown, OH; daughters Jamie (John) McGlothin of Morgantown and Jaclyn of Rivesville, WV; brothers, Kevin Shoemaker of Masontown, WV and William (Merle) Shoemaker of Rivesville, WV; sisters , Robin (Bill) Michaels of Hagans, WV and Joy (Mike) Treham of Grant Town, WV; special friend, Mikayla Gallo; as well as 18 grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Willis was an avid NASCAR fan and loved Cleveland and Ohio State Football. He enjoyed relaxing with old movies and Western novels. He also loved pulling pranks on his friends and loved ones. He will be so missed by so many.

Friends and family will gather at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11 AM to 1 PM, at which time Pastor Doug Strother will give a short message. According to his wishes, cremation will follow the service.
