Willis Glen-Everette Freeland

Willis Glen-Everette Freeland, 93, originally of Howellsville, WV and Morgantown, WV for 70 years. He was born February 25, 1924 to the late Floyd Charles and Georgia Belle (Weaver) Freeland.

He was a mechanic and owned his own business. He like to hunt and fish but, Willis especially had a knack for repairing things and helped many folks out in his shop on Halleck Road. He was a great woodworker and built many clocks as well.

Willis was a also a World War II veteran.

He is survived by his spouse Mary (King) Freeland of 25 years; two children; one son, Gary Freeland and spouse Janet; one daughter Kathy Cooper and spouse Raymond; three grandchildren, Brian Freeland, Darice Yerkovich and companion Josh Bradley, and Brittany Tichenor and spouse Steven; five grandchildren; one brother, Richard Freeland and spouse Joyce of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews that he greatly enjoyed and loved.

Willis is preceded in death by his first wife Kathryn (Loraw) Freeland; a grandson, Christopher Freeland; and his seven other siblings.

The family would to extend a special thank you to staff at Sundale Nursing Home for all their care over the past six years.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Saturday, January 27th from 11am until the time of service at noon with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
