William Hughes, Jr.

William ‘Bill’ Hughes, Jr., of Vienna, WV passed at his home on April 9, 2025. He was born June 19, 1952, son of the late William Hughes, Sr., and Mary Lou Rancjik Hughes.

Bill attended UHS, enlisted in the US Army for two years and then attended college on the GI Bill to study accounting. Bill worked for the Government until his retirement.

Bill is survived by his two sisters, Betty Jean Canfield and Kim L. Hughes; three nieces Tiffany (Jason) Goddard, Stephanie (Josh) Boley, and Brittany (Shawn) Canfield; two great-nieces Lily Rife and Amber Boley; great nephew John C.W. Rife.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, and brother-in-law, Melvin Canfield.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at Westover United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
