William 'Bill' C. Hines

William C. Bill' Hines, 85, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday June 17, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born December 17, 1929 in Pursglove, a son of the late James and Elizabeth Heaton Hines. In his younger years Bill was a boxer and also ran a boxing youth club in Osage. Bill was a coal miner and retired from Osage #3 Mine. He was also a jack of all trades. Bill was Catholic by faith. He is survived by two sons William D. Bill' Hines and wife Freda of Morgantown, Virgil Hines; brother Gene Hines and wife Jenny of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law Loretta Sims of Kingwood, WV; five grandchildren Angela Hanlin, William D. Hines, Jr. and wife Andrea, Jimmy Hines, Virgil Hines Jr., Chris Hines; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Lora Cork Hines; his second wife Leah Murphy Hines; son Jerrald Jerry' Hines; siblings Juanita Saylor, Irene Raynor, Mamie Archie, Virgil Shaffer, Ilene Hines, Robert Shaffer, Phillip Hines, Margarite Shaffer, Nina England Shaffer, Helen Shaffer; and a grandson Jerrald Hines, Jr. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday June 21, 2015 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and again on Monday from 11am until the time of funeral services at 12pm noon. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
