Fred

William Frederick ‘Fred’ Hartman, 55, of Maidsville, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at his home.  He was born March 22, 1967 in Morgantown a son of the late Lonnie and Wanda Hunt Hartman.

Fred worked most of his life, alongside his brother, at Hartman and Son’s Construction.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.  He liked watching football and cheering on his beloved Miami Dolphins.  Most of all he cherished listening to good music, especially Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Misty Hartman; son Frederick ‘Freddie’ Hartman; sisters Shirley Wagner, Gloira Stout, Brenda Hartman; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a brother Lonnie ‘Butch’ Hartman, Jr.; and a sister-in-law Veronica Hartman.

The family will receive friends at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 2pm until the time of the funeral service at 4pm with Pastor John Wagner officiating.  Following the service, Fred’s wishes for cremation will be honored.
