Willard Ray Wild Bill' Taylor, 72 of Morgantown passed away Monday October 10, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Willard was born June 19, 1939 in Greer, WV son of the late Willard G. and Kathryn Blosser Taylor. Willard enlisted in the US Air Force in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960. He then enlisted in the US Army in 1960 where he achieved the rank of sergeant. He was honorably discharged in 1967. He finished his military career of nearly 20 years in the US Navy in 1976. After his military career he returned to Morgantown and worked for the Yellow Cab Company for nearly 40 years. He was an avid accomplished bowler, pool shark; loved to play bingo and rarely missed playing the lottery. He was a member of the Morgantown VFW Post 548. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Rebecca Bowman Taylor of Morgantown; daughter Lisa Gray and husband Michael of Morgantown; son Willard Ray Taylor, Jr. and wife Andrea of Elkins, WV; daughter Rebecca Becky' Whipkey and husband Guy of Mt. Morris, PA; daughter Lyvonne Lea Webber and husband David of Morgantown; three sisters, Violet Arbogast and husband Burt of Fairmont, Pam Shafer and husband Dwight of Bruceton Mills and Debbie Parenti and husband Kevin of Morgantown. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Jessica Huff and husband Larry of Mt. Morris, PA, Chad Whipkey and wife Jessi of Cassville, Andrew Gray, David Webber, III, and Dylan Webber all of Morgantown; great grandchildren Cloe Huff, Colton Huff and Keirsten Huff all of Mt. Morris, PA; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and special feline companion Molly. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday October 13, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Friday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Matthew Chapell officiating. Burial will follow at the WV National Cemetery, Pruntytown, WV with military graveside rites conducted by US Navy Mid-Atlantic Region and the Taylor County Honor Guard. Willard's family would like to thank Hospice Care, Pastor Matthew Chapell, and Pammy Murray for the loving kindness shown over the past several months.
