Wayne Allen Williams

March 6, 1938 — October 14, 2012

Wayne Allen Williams, 74, of Morgantown went to be with Jesus on Sunday October 14, 2012 at his home. He fought a 21 year battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born March 6, 1938 on Rosedale Hill in Morgantown. Wayne was a salesman for Pepsi Cola for 25 years. He enjoyed being outside in his garage and woodworking. He coached youth basketball at Ridgedale Elementary for many years. He loved sports and was a WVU fan. He always had a smile on his face and touched the lives of many. He and his wife Pat celebrated 50 years of marriage in February of this year. Wayne is survived by his wife, Patricia King Williams, whom he married February 24, 1962; three daughters, Michelle Summers and husband Bill, Debra Williams, and Traci Morris, all of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Melissa Bourgeois and husband Patrick of Schriever, Louisiana, Nathan Summers and wife Ashlea, Breanna Williams and Quentin and Brevin Morris all of Morgantown. In addition he has one great grandson, Noah Bourgeois and was expecting another grandson in February. He is also survived by two sisters, Judy Averett and Donna Ray both of Morgantown. He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Selma Williams; four brothers and three sisters. Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday October 20, 2012 at the Faith Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Dave Chedester officiating. Wayne's family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice of Morgantown, especially Lisa Munnell, Kristin Neldon and Ron Klink for the wonderful care given during his illness. They treated him with tenderness and love.
