Wayne Kennedy Lipscomb

Wayne K. Lipscomb, 75 of Morgantown, passed away Monday May 2, 2011 at his home. He was born in St. George, WV on October 28, 1935 son of the late Edward J. and Cora Helmick Lipscomb. Wayne retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 152 with more than 35 years of service. Wayne served in the United States Air Force and was a Life Member of the Brookhaven Fire Department. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Wayne is survived by his wife Betty Jane Lipscomb; children Jimmy W. Lipscomb of Morgantown, Lesa R. Snyder and husband Alan of Aurora, WV and Tammy J. Dalton of Morgantown; one brother Sam Lipscomb of St. George, WV; six grandchildren Adam Lipscomb and wife Heather, Zachary Lipscomb, Amanda Lipscomb Harteis and husband Jerrod, Wyatt and Emily Snyder and Tyler Dalton. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren Addison and Noah. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Lipscomb, Virgie Lipscomb, Marge Tucker, Freda Vick' Chipps, Ruth Beamer, Warren Lipscomb, Cliff Lipscomb and Cleo Vandevender. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday May 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Friends may call at the Lohr and Barb Funeral Home, Parsons, WV on Friday May 6 from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home 312 Main Street Parsons, WV 26287 Burial will follow at the Watring Cemetery, Parsons, WV.
