Waneta Jean Shank

Waneta J. Shank, 99, of Morgantown WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the

Madison Center.

She was born in Morgantown on January 3, 1923. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother &

grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, many arts and crafts, and especially cherished time with her family.

Waneta was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elwood Shank; her sisters, Vivian Gallagher and

Louise Davis; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Forbes.

She is survived by her sons; Ronald & Nancy Shank, of Morgantown, WV, David & Susan Shank of

Hamilton, OH; and her granddaughter, Sheri & Stephen Latta of Kilwinning, Scotland.

The family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from

4 PM until the time of service at 6 PM with Rev. David Harris officiating. Waneta will be laid to rest at the

WV National Cemetery in Grafton on Friday, September 23 2022 at 11 AM. The funeral procession will be

leaving Fred L Jenkins at 10 AM.
