Wanda Woody Weatherspoon

Wanda Lou Woody Weatherspoon, 66, of Rockingham, VA formerly of Morgantown, died peacefully at the home of her daughter in Virginia. Wanda was born March 14, 1954, in Morgantown, WV daughter to Ernie Nicholson and Alonda Mae Woody.

Wanda was a homemaker for many years. She was a kind & generous person who rarely said no to anyone. She loved Prince and Patrick Swayze. She was Apostolic by faith.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Kathy Kalbani (Abdalla) of Rockingham, VA; son Richard Beeson (Dee) of Fairmont, WV; former husband & friend Richard Beeson, Sr.; three sisters, Dolly ‘Tiny’ Sparks, Donna Woody & Elaine Boyers; one beloved brother, Gary Woody; step-brothers, Franklin Smith, Jr & Gary Wade Smith; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Ernie and Alonda; step-father, Franklin Smith, two brothers, Lester Woody and Michael ‘Butchie’ Smith; three sisters, Jackie Smith, Dixie McCuskey & Debbie Cozad & one grandson, Brad Beeson.

Friends will be received on Friday, October 30, 2020, at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4 PM until the time of funeral services at 6 PM with Pastor Dolly Sparks officiating. Following the service, Wanda will be cremated and her ashes will be inurned at the convenience of the family.
