Virginia May Harris

March 6, 1945 — February 19, 2011

Virginia May Glover Harris, 65 of Granville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday February 19, 2011, surrounded by her loving extended family. She fought a long courageous battle with sickness, but departed this life peacefully. Her faith and trust in God was a great comfort to her family. She attended the Jake's Run Assembly of God. She was born March 6, 1945 daughter to the late Gorman and Georgia Ross Glover. Virginia was the loving wife of the late Wayne F. Harris. She was the proud mother to three children; she had nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She is survived by her son Brian K. Harris and wife Shelly Harris of Lake Lynn, PA; granddaughter Danielle Harris and great grandchild Jordan Shumiloff, of Morgantown; granddaughter Stefanie Kelly of Morgantown and grandson Brian Harris, Jr., and step-grandson Justin Skidmore of Gans, PA; son Greg A. Harris of Smithfield, PA, with Nancy Monahan and granddaughter Destiny Harris of Smithfield, PA; daughter Beth Steele and husband Doug Steele of Jakes Run, WV and grandsons Jacoby D. Steele, Elijah D. Steele, Benjamin M.L. Steele and Caleb G. Steele all of Jakes Run, WV. She is also survived by her loving sister and best friend Fonda Glover of Granville, WV and her wonderful brother Alfred Junior Junie' Glover and sister-in-law Deloris Bunny' Glover of Crown, WV. She had many nieces, nephews and cousins that were special to her as well. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers Ronald Lee Glover, William Glover, Everett Buck' Glover, and Gorman Bubby' Glover; two sisters Florence Stacy and Patricia Pechinko. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses that cared for her at the Physicians Office Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital. Thanks to the many family members and friends that extended their love to her during her stay at the hospital; it meant more than you will ever know! Then a special thank you to her home health aid from CCIL, Liz Braddock. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Monday February 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at the East Oak Grove cemetery.
