Violet Grace Hooton Cassino Violet Grace Hooton Cassino, 92 of Liberty St., Morgantown passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at home that she shared with her son , Robert and Lucille Cassino. She was born December 29, 1921 in Preston County, the daughter of the late Charles and Lula Hooton. She went to work at the age of 42 at the old WVU Mountainlair and retired from WVU Hospital after 8 years of service. Surviving are 2 sons and their spouses Robert and Lucille Cassino of Morgantown , Glenn and Sharon Cassino of Morgantown. Also 4 grandchildren Michael and Nina Cassino of York, Pa., Michelle and Paul (Tim) Martin of Morgantown, Carla and Mark Bates of Dilliner, Pa., and Jennifer Cassino of Minnesota. Also 7 great grandchildren Shayla Martin ,Dylan Martin both of Morgantown, Cassie Reaville of Minnesota , Megan Reaville of Oklahoma, Sam, Ike, and Leah Patterson of York, Pa., She was the last living of her family. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Cassino in 1962, a son Joseph Lester Cassino in 1991, sisters Alma Kelly, Vivian Miller, Lillian Bennett, Edna Pritts and Evelyn Stafford, brothers Lester, French and Russell Hooton. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people of HospiceCare for their care. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 3pm until 8pm and again on Monday from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Kathleen Kennedy of Hospice Care Corporation officiating. Burial will follow in the East Oak Grove Cemetery.
