Victoria V. Putloves

Victoria V. Putloves, 95 of Cassville, WV died Thursday September 20, 2012. Vicki was born in Coketon, WV on June 5, 1917 to the late Anthony and Magdaline Putloves. She graduated from Thomas High School in 1935. She, together with her late sister Helen Putloves, was a long-time employee of Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut, retiring in 1975. Following retirement, both Vicki and Helen moved to Keyser, WV, where they made their home with their sister Mary Mann. Neither Vicki nor her sister Helen married; both conveyed their love and attention to their siblings, many nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and sister Helen Putloves, Vicki was preceded in death by other sisters, Anna Thomas of Morgantown, Veronica Quattro of Wheeling, WV; brothers George Putloves and Adam Putloves both of Coketon, WV and an infant brother and sister. She is survived by her sister Mary Mann of Keyser and by many nieces and nephews and their families. As a result of illness, in the final two and a half years of her life, Vicki made her home with her nephew and niece George and Connie Thomas of Cassville, WV and was cared for by the staff of Point Manor Personal Care Home located in Point Marion, PA. Vicki was a devout Roman Catholic. She was loving, gentle and an engaging person with many interests. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 South High Street Morgantown, WV 26501 on Sunday September 23 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm and again on Monday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Star City, WV from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Rev. Father John V. DiBacco, Jr., as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Thomas, WV with Rev. Father Timothy J. Grassi officiating graveside rites. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saint Ursula's Food Pantry PO Box 18 Pursglove, WV 26546.
