Vernon Allen Kincaid

Vernon Allen Kincaid, 77, of Bruceton Mills, passed away Thursday August 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his longtime companion and family. He was born December 29, 1935 in Hinton, WV son to the late Cecil and Maxine Williams Kincaid. Vernon was a United States Marine and participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. Vernon loved to fish, hunt, shell walnuts and pick black berries. He retired from the Local 1339 Carpenters Union. He is survived by his caregiver and friend Janice Darnell, brothers, Homer Kincaid and wife Lula, Emmett Kincaid and wife Bernice, Roy Kincaid and his late wife Barbara and Herbert Kincaid and wife Linda all of Morgantown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Kincaid Hess. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday August 11, 2013 from 2pm until time of services at 4pm with Pastor Bennie Moran officiating. Honoring Vernon's wishes cremation will follow.
