Vanden Edward King, 41, of Morgantown, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, as a result of an automobile accident.
Vanden was born on August 26, 1974, the son of William Page and Anna Mae Stephens King of Morgantown.
Vanden was a Morgantown City Fireman, a photographer and owner of Vanden King Photography, and a partner with his brother and father in King & Sons LLC of Morgantown. He also served as a volunteer with Triune-Halleck VFD for many years. He enjoyed flying his drones, doing woodworking, and riding four wheelers with his son, daughters and wife. Vanden enjoyed watching and photographing whatever sport included his children, or nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents, Vanden is survived by his wife, Carla Ann Matheny King, his children, Cyrena Ann, Vanden Page and Cheyenne Elizabeth King of Morgantown and a special little girl, Genet Belay of Korah, Ethiopia who was expected to join the family in the near future. Vanden is also survived by his brother, W Page King II of Morgantown and his fiancée, Deb Schram and her children, Adam and Marlee Schram of State College, PA, a nephew Grady Page King and two nieces, Alia Mae King and Audrey Pearl King all of Morgantown and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him.
Vanden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vanden Page and Dorothea Cyrena King, Grandmother, Majore Stephens, Great-Grandmother, Gertrude Rumble and cousins T. R. Smith, Thea Renee Smith and Jill Cyrena Smith.
Friends will be received at the Morgantown Event Center on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 1pm to 7pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until 11am with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Summers Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Vanden to Goshen Baptist Church 1070 Goshen Road, WV 26508. Please note ‘In Memory of Vanden’ on the memo line. All donations in memory of Vanden will be forwarded as a whole to “Out of the Ashes”
