Thomas 'Buddy' Little

September 6, 1950 — August 17, 2025

Emblem

Thomas Little, known as Buddy, was born on September 6, 1950 in Amigo, WV. He was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Jane Little. Buddy had many titles in his life. He was a Marine, a heavy equipment operator, a hunter, a fisherman, a friend. But the titles that he took the most pride in were Husband, Dad, Granddaddy, and Great-Granddaddy.

He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1970. When he was discharged, he met the love of his life, Darlene Mathess. They married and were soon blessed with two daughters, Jenny and Kelly. Buddy took pride in his "Little" family and worked hard to support them and give them the best.

Buddy eventually got the son he had always wanted when Kelly married Jimmy Lorusso, to join him on his adventures. Anybody who met him loved him and his ornery personality. He welcomed everyone to join in his family excursions.

Buddy was always looking for activities or an adventure. He enjoyed traveling, camping, riding his Harley, boating, waterskiing, horseback riding, anything to keep his family happy, making memories that will forever be cherished.

Buddy has four grandchildren that he adored. Ashley Baisi (Tyler Nicholson), James (Bub) Lorusso (Raven Weaver), Derek Baisi (Sierra Campbell), Dylan Lorusso (Skylar Pechart), and his granddaughter, Sarah Jane Lorusso, who preceded him in death, and three great-grandchildren, Waylon Dalton, Sydney Baisi, and Lainey Jane Lorusso. His memory will forever live in our hearts and he will be missed dearly by all who loved him.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 3 PM until 7 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM with Pastor Jeremiah Bostic and the Earl Anderson Marine Corps League officiating.

He will be laid to rest at the Beverly Hills Cemetery with military honors conducted by USMC Honor Guard, and members of the Mon County Honor Guard, Posts 9916, 548, and VVA Chapter 306.
