Thomas Keith Chaplin

Thomas Keith Tom' Chaplin, 64, of Westover passed away Tuesday January 15, 2013 at the Monongalia General Hospital. He was born October 2, 1948, in Monongalia County, son to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Fisher Chaplin. Tom graduated from WVU with a bachelor's degree in business. Tom was a past member of the Masons. Tom served on the Westover City Council from 1976 to 1978 and was the Mayor of Westover from 1978 through 1988. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, P. Kay Nottingham Chaplin, EdD; one son Lt. Zachariah Chaplin of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, AZ; one sister Darlene DeHart and husband Phil and their daughter Kelly McGowan all of Hanson, KY. Friends are invited to the home of Tom, Kay, and Zachariah for a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, January 20, 2013, from 2 to 3pm. No flowers please. Cremation was arranged by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
