Thelma Louise Mcgee

October 16, 1928 — October 6, 2015

Thelma Louise McGee, 86, of Everettville, passed away Tuesday October 6, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1928 in Grantsville, MD a daughter of the late Howard and Pearl McGinnis Metz. Throughout her life, Thelma cleaned houses and worked at the old Westover Drive-in and McCoy's Five and Dime. She enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, decorating for Christmas. She also loved taking care of her flower garden, spending Sunday's shopping and going out to eat. Most of all she cherished spending time with all of her family. She was Methodist by Faith. She is survived by three sons David McGee and wife Georgia of Baltimore, MD, Richard McGee and wife Connie of Morgantown, Blake McGee and friend Pam of Knoxville, TN; daughter Dorcas Hosey of Morgantown; four grandchildren David McGee and wife Michelle, Marcella McDonald and husband Chad, Nathan Hosey, Sarah McGee; a multitude of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and her special niece and caretaker Robin Karnes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Richard McGee. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday October 9, 2015 from 4-8pm and again on Saturday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Pastor Tammy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hood Cemetery, Everettville, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Thelma's memory to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
