Thelma Lynch

Thelma Louise Lynch, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday May 24, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born January 18, 1931 in Rivesville, WV a daughter of the late Brooks and Eunice Glover Shoemaker. In Thelma's younger years she enjoyed traveling. She liked to go shopping, especially at yard sales and flea markets. She also enjoyed canning vegetables from her and her husband's garden. However, her favorite thing to do was sitting on her front porch drinking coffee in the morning. She is survived by a son Raymond Bud' Lynch and wife Penny of Fairmont; sister Betty Mansberger and husband Leroy of Morgantown; three grandchildren Karen Strahin and husband Michael of Tunnelton, WV, Michael Lynch and wife Kimberly of Morgantown, Katie Lynch and fiancé Joey LaMottie of Fairmont. Thelma is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray Lynch; son Kenneth Spike' Lynch; sister Helen Costello; and two brothers Brooks Earl Shoemaker and Charles Shoemaker. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday May 27, 2015 from 5-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Pastor Tim Slaughter officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
