Terry Wayne Lake

Terry Wayne Lake Sr, 58, of Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2015 at his home. He was born on October 1, 1956 to the late Bernadine Lake and Willie James Riley Sr. He was a baptized member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. Terry is survived by three brothers; Willie James Riley Jr., Edward Pete (Ruth Ann) Shade, and Bryan Keith (Michelle) Holland; Four sisters, Jean Massenberg, Deborah Young, Sharon (Albert) Tipton, and Brenda Lee Holland. He is also survived by three children; Terry Wayne Lake Jr., Jason Kiel (Jacqueline) Dobbs, and Damia Michelle Dobbs. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, foster brothers and sisters. Terry was employed by the Department of Highways. He was known by many and never met a stranger. He had seven grandchildren; Jackson, Jaiden, Brenton, Janiyah, Jiovanna, Kielandra, and Mateo. In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his eldest daughter Tera Waynette Lake-Johnson, two sisters; Minnie Lee Driscoll and Eva Lee Shade, his foster mother Jessie Mae Smith and several foster brother and sisters. A celebration of life will be held at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 with visitation beginning at noon until the time of celebration at 1pm. Cremation services will be honored upon request of the family.
