Terry Lee Eddy, a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully in Morgantown on July 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on October 31, 1952, Terry spent his life dedicated to his family and his work, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A proud member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) Construction Union, Terry's career as an ironworker, welder, and crane operator culminated in a supervisory position he held with pride until his retirement. His work ethic and craftsmanship were notable, but it was his warmth and genuine nature that truly defined him.

Terry was a man of many passions. He and his beloved wife, Joann, who stood by his side for an incredible 50 years, explored the world together through day trips and cherished journeys, creating lasting memories. Terry adored the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and simply reveling in the beauty of the mountains brought him immense joy.

A unique and treasured aspect of Terry's life was his love for training beagle dogs and raising rabbits for them to chase, a hobby he shared with his closest friends, Jack, Larry, and Stanley. These moments underscored a life filled with friendship and laughter.

Terry's legacy will live on through his loving daughters, Tonya (Lee) Haught of Mannington, WV, and Terri Jo (Mitchell) Mayle of Fairview, WV. He also leaves behind a lineage filled with love his grandchildren, Sierra (Colby) Kincell of Morgantown, Darton (Oliva) McIntire of Charleroi, PA, Damon Mayle Jr., Darian Mayle, both of Morgantown, and Makenzie Mayle of Fairview, WV, as well as his three great-grandchildren, Knox, Cooper, and Kase Kincell.

Terry is also survived by his brothers, Marvin (Twila) Eddy of Wallace, WV, and Marion 'Toge' (Donna) Tennant of Wadestown, WV, and his sister, Emma (Harry) Michael of Daybrook, WV.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Eddy, and his brother, Melvin Eddy.

All services will be private.

In remembrance of Terry Eddy, may we all carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and adventure.
