Susan Patricia Abrams,

61, of Morgantown, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away August 31, 2017 at Einstein Medical Center, in Philadelphia, following a brief illness.

The daughter of Mary E. Lagdan of Philadelphia and the late John Lagdan, she was born April 27, 1956 in Philadelphia.

Susan was a 1974 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, PA. She worked for SmithKline Corporation and Crown Cork and Seal Corporation before becoming a full-time homemaker. In 2006, Susan and her husband, James relocated to Morgantown. Susan was a past member and officer of Morgantown’s Community Newcomers Club and a supporter of WVU Women’s Basketball and Hoops n’ Heels club. She was devoted to her pet rabbits over the years; and was a supporter of animal charities nationwide.

In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her loving husband, of 40 years, James V. Abrams, whom were married August 13, 1977; a sister, Mary Ann December and her husband, J. Kim December, of New Brighton, PA; and a brother, John S. Lagdan of Quakertown, PA.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 6 to 8pm, at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.

The family ask that donations be made in Susan’s memory to Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia.
