On Friday, February 7th, 2020, Steven "Spoonman" Celey went home to be with the Lord. The unexpected death was a result of a fatal medical condition. Steve was born on June 28th, 1958 in Oxnard, California to Barry F. Celey and Gladys M. Celey. He graduated from high school in Long Beach, Mississippi in 1976.
Steve made is way to Morgantown to reside in 1980 after attending Mississippi State University. He worked for Mon General Hospital for 20 years and, until Friday, for Statewide Services for close to 10 years. He had served in all chairs, including Exalted Ruler in 1987, with the Elks Lodge of Morgantown.
He is survived by his wife, Angela D. Celey, of Morgantown; his daughter, Annmarie Celey, of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Nicolina Celey-Sampson (6yo) and Drai'Melle Celey-Barbee (4 mo); his mother, Gladys M. Celey, of Texas; his sister, Debbie Celey, of Texas; his brother, Joel Celey and wife Wendy Celey, of Louisiana; countless nieces and nephews, family, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Nikki Celey, of Morgantown; and his father, Barry F. Celey.

The family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM and again on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM with Pastor Rose Saunders officiating. Steven will be laid to rest beside his daughter Nikki at the Zion Cemetery, Sunset Beach Road, Cheat Lake. Condolences may be offered at www.fredjenkinsfuneralhome.com.
