Stanley Roy Straight

Stanley Roy Straight, 80 of Morgantown went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2015. He was born April, 1, 1935 in Morgantown, WV son of the late Howard Lawrence and Edna May Kirk Straight. Stanley retired from Consolidation Coal Company, Blacksville No. 1 mine. He was a member of the UMWA and the Local 1588. After retirement he was an avid wood craftsman and enjoyed time outdoors. Above all of his interests and hobbies, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren. Stanley is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years Justine Sargent Straight, daughter Kimberly Thornburg of Morgantown; two sons, Kevin Straight and wife Jill of Olympia, WA; Keith Straight and wife Angela of Morgantown; grandchildren, Ethan and Kristopher Thornburg, Konor and Haleigh Straight all of Morgantown and Devin Straight Patrone of PA; one brother Roger Straight and wife June; sister Jane Forman of FL; Stanley's twin sister Mary Forman of GA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard and wife Freda, Gerald and wife Ruth and Howard Sonny' Straight. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm and again on Thursday from 11am until time of services at 12noon with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of CTU/CCU and dialysis unit of Ruby Memorial Hospital.
