Shirley Lee Linton, 86, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Friday morning, February 17, 2023, in Morgantown, WV.
Shirley’s life has been devoted to serving God and caring for others. She lived with and cared for her grandmother in her youth before marrying Bruce D. Linton on July 25, 1951. They built a lovely home and raised 3 children. Shirley selflessly provided love and care for her grandparents, parents, husband and children throughout their lives. She was also a member of the Monongalia County CEOs Halleck women’s club. She is greatly loved and admired by her entire family, friends and community.
Shirley was a devoted servant of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday school for many years, was a prayer warrior and an inspiration to many with her unwavering faith, wise counsel, and kind heart. A sweeter soul cannot be found. She has been a member of the Morgantown Revival Center church for 68 years. Shirley was born July 18, 1936, in Morgantown, to parents Russell & Geraldine Trickett. She is survived by her siblings Russ Ervin Trickett & Prentis Wade & Karen Trickett; daughter Beverly Hornbeck; sons Bradley & Kathryn Linton, Michael Linton & Christina Z.
