Sharren Jean Nuce

February 2, 1954 — December 8, 2016

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Sharren Jean Nuce, 62, of Westover, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a nearly 10-year battle with cancer. She fought hard and never let cancer affect her positive attitude. She was born Feb. 2, 1954, daughter of the late William and Eleanor Lipscomb Martin.

Sharren had a love for life and compassion for everyone. She would often go hungry to make sure those closest to her had enough to eat. Sharren was literally a shirt of her back kind of friend. Many have given characteristics to describe Sharren as, tenacious, loving, caring and loyal. She loved her husband and family more than anything in this world.

Sharren is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Neil R. Nuce of Westover; two daughters, Christina Nuce, of Westover and Angela Wilson, of Morgantown; two grandsons, Daniel and Sean Fortney; three great grandchildren; brothers, Kirk Martin, Bill Martin, Mark Martin and two sisters Janet Martin and Brenda Davis. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 from 11am until time of services at 1pm with Rev. David Tomer officiating. Burial will follow at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be offered to the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home to help with expenses.
