Sharon Lynn Thompson

Sharon Lynn Thompson, 62, of Maidsville, WV, passed away Wedneday, April 1, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Ruby Memorial Hospital. The daughter of the late Paul Gray, Sr. and Lucille Lawson, she was born August 5, 1952, in Morgantown, WV. Sharon worked at Eat-N-Park for 17 years, then she stayed at home and watched her grandchildren that she loved very much. Sharon is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Thompson; three children: David Earl Thompson, Jr., April Dawn Thompson, and Danielle Elaine Thompson, all of Maidsville; grandchildren, David "Little Man" Earl Thompson III and Taylor Lynn Nelson; brothers and sisters: Doris Moore, Bob Gray, Don Gray and wife, Percy, JR Paul Gray and wife, Barbara, Teresia Marshall and husband, Gerald, Elaine Lipscomb and husband, Donald, Marian Lawson and husband, Eddie, Joe Gray and wife, Rosalee, Betty Kisner and husband John, and Paula Gray. Also surviving are, Gerald "Jun" Marshall and his wife, Michelle, and their children Dylan and Makenzie Lynn that were also very special to her. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Gray; and her mother and father-in-law, Juanita and Ernest Thompson. Family and friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Friday, from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, April 4, 2015, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service, with Rev. Bennie Moran officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
