Sharon Sims

Sharon Lynette Sims, 50, of Morgantown, peacefully slipped from this mortal life to perfect immortality in heaven on Sunday June 7, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born November 24, 1964 in Morgantown a daughter of James W. and Naomi Irene Davisson Sims of Morgantown. In addition to her parents she is survived by a sister Rebecca Friend and husband Joe Ray; two brothers James Allen Sims and companion Denise Mays, Ronald Sims and wife Denise all of Morgantown; two nephews, five nieces, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, and great nephews. Sharon is also survived by her extended family, the residents and caregivers at her group home. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Abner and Marie Sims; maternal grandparents George and Opal Davisson; and several aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank Valley Health and Ruby Hospital nurses and staff for many years of caring for Sharon. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Tuesday June 9, 2015 from 6-8pm. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 10:30am at Arnettsville Cemetery with Pastors Allen and Joseph Donham officiating.
