Sara Lee Jacobs

Sara Lee Jacobs, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2022 at Mon Health Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Emillio Thomas and Ruth Mansberger Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Thomas.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Sam Jacobs; a brother, Jay Michael Thomas; her dear cousins, Richard Herstein and wife Shirley, Gloria McClain and husband Art McClain, and Mary Wilson and husband Kenneth. She is also survived by her beloved pup, Caly.

Sara graduated from Morgantown Business School then spent many years working for Valley HealthCare System as an Intake Specialist interviewing patients. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, going to Apple Annie’s for dinner with her husband Sam almost every day, and traveling. Her favorite place to visit was Cancun, Mexico. She also had a love for Corvettes, but only if they were the right color.

Friends and family will gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home for visitation on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10AM – 12PM & 6PM – 8PM and again on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 11AM until the time of service at 12PM. Sara will be laid to rest alongside her family at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
