Ruth M. Davis Marsh, 90, of Aarons Creek Road, Morgantown, passed peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born August 3, 1931, in Morgantown, daughter to William T. & Ruth Minor Davis. Ruth was married to the late Ray Marsh. She was employed by Reader & Shuman Law Office, where she retired after 17 years of service. She was also a domestic worker for several families in the Morgantown area. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she was actively involved with the Bus Ministry & children’s ministry. She is survived by her three sons, Arless (Linda) Marsh of Quiet Dell, Howard (Gail) Marsh of Lost Creek & Gary (Janet) Marsh of Independence, WV; one sister, Mary Corob of Uniontown; daughter-in-law, Lona McDaniel, of Elkins & son-in-law John Braddock of Independence, WV; 16 grandchildren, James (Scarlett) Marsh, Liz (Mark) Cross, Louise (James) Lansberry; Jessie (Allen, Jr.) Duley, Ruth (Buddy) Henderson, Ashely Marsh, Brandon (Melissa) Marsh, Stephen Collins, Donald & Richard Marsh, Abi (Anthony) Stefani, James & Stephanie Stevens, Ray Braddock, Jason Collins, & Laura Demasi. Also surviving are 25 great-grandchildren, Jacob & Ryan Marsh, Allen Duley, III, Koda Duley, Chase & Corbin Stefani, Dayton Henderson, Madison Lansberry, Monica Slaubaugh, Derrick Campbell, Isaac Poling, Stephanie Collins, Mia Cross, Luke, Alex & Andrew Marsh, Ava & Joey Stevens, Cameron Martin; Leighanne Marsh, Lilly & Kain Marsh, Preston & Greg Braddock & Katherine Demasi; three great-great-grandchildren, Cora & Amari Slaubaugh, & Beau Duley; numerous, nieces, nephews & extended family & her special dear friends, Patty & Larry Lemon & Allen Duley, Sr. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Louise Braddock; two sons, James ‘Jim’ & John ‘Red’ Marsh; three sisters, Shirley McKinney, Betty Tucker & Violet Buzzo; three brothers, Robert, Johnathan & William T. Davis, Jr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM & again on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from noon until the time of services at 1 PM with Pastor Craig Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
