Ruby K. Statler, 90, of Morgantown, formerly of Daybrook, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at her home. She was born March 24, 1925 in Daybrook, daughter of the late Perry A. and Corda Tennant Ammons. Ruby was a member of the Clay Battelle Senior Center, a previous member of Senior Citizens Bowling League of Sycamore Lanes and an avid sports fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Mountaineers and Clay Battelle High School. Ruby is survived by her children; son, Harold Eugene (Donna) Statler; daughter, Kathy White and companion Phil Malkemes all of Morgantown; son-in-law, Earl Hixenbaugh of Core; daughters-in-law, Billie Statler of Carmichaels, PA and Ida Osecky, of Florida. Also surviving are grandchildren, Bonita (Bob) Hollabaugh, Ryan (Cheryl) Statler, Tammie (Dennis) Gildon, Ronnie (Missy) Statler, Brett (Tina) Statler, Sonya (Les) Forrest, Curt (Mandy) Boylen, Glenn (Lori) Statler, Angie Hixenbaugh, Kevin (Christy) Boylen, Kelli (Jeff) Stewart and Ashley White; 21 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Yeater of Florida; sisters-in-law, Helen Statler of OH and Mary Lucille Statler of Core; one brother-in-law, James Delbert (Sue) Statler of Daybrook; many nieces and nephews and close companions Nancy Cook and Mel Braun. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edgar W. Statler; two sons, Bill W. Statler and Larry L. Statler; two daughters, Rose M. Boylen and Doris L. Hixenbaugh; one great grandson, Wyatt Elijah Statler and two brothers, Wilbert Ammons and Robert Ammons. Friends may call the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 2pm until 8pm and again on Sat. from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Freddie Eddy, II, officiating Burial will follow at the St. Luke's Cemetery, Mooresville, WV.
