Ruby Pauline Donham

May 29, 1918 — February 19, 2015

Ruby Pauline Frazier Donham, 96, of 81 Harrison Street, Westover, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2015. She resided in the home of her granddaughter Deanna and husband Bobby Watts. She was born May 29, 1918. Daughter of the late Edgar E. Frazier and Bertha Lee Shiflett Frazier of Boonesville, Va. Ruby was a supervisor for West Virginia University Hospitals and retired after 23 years in housekeeping. She was an active member of Riverside Apostolic Church from 1942 until 1976, when she and Ralph moved to support their son, Rev. Allen Donham at the Chaplin Apostolic Church. In 1981 HOPE Ministries was built at the present location of 519 Hornbeck Road, Morgantown. HOPE was Ruby's church family until the time of her passing. She worked for many years in the HOPE Church Ladies Ministries as a fundraiser, a cook and a dedicated prayer warrior. Ruby was a friend to all but she enjoyed the special times while working with June Ford, Josephine Kendall, Mary Liston and especially, Vindy Sheets whom she considered one of her closest friends. Ruby was a beloved and devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and the best mother-in-law, in the world. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, friends and her church family. Holding her in loving memory, Rev. Allen Donham and wife Jeanne of Morgantown. A stepson, Robert (Bobby) Donham and wife Rosalee of Morgantown. Six grandchildren, Jeremy and Wendy Donham, Deanna and Bobby Watts, Shelly and Greg Cummings, Shawn Donham, Pastor Joseph and Dorothy Donham, all of Morgantown and Jan and Grover Gaines of Flemington, WV. Two step grandsons, Richard and Joe Donham and families. Ruby had ten great grandchildren, Ryan and Chandler Watts, Christian Donham, Mitchell and Nicholas Donham, Hope and Jayden Donham, Cameron Cummings, Raji Cummings and Adam and wife Bianca and son Jonah Cummings, who was Ruby's great-great grandson. She was extremely fond of her many loving nieces, nephews and their families. Preceding her in death, is her husband Ralph E. Donham of 54 years. Six brothers and three sisters. One great granddaughter, Laura Ashley Marie Donham, one niece, Loretta Wilson. Visitation will take place at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4 to 8pm. Ruby's Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at the HOPE Church Ministries on Hornbeck Road, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 with visitation from 10am until time of service at 11am with Senior Pastor Allen Donham, Pastor Joseph Donham of HOPE Church and Pastor Greg Cummings of the Confidence in Christ Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. Special thanks are given to Morgantown Hospice Care, AMEDISYS partner, Bobby and Deanna Watts, Mary Jo and Bob Watts and Shelly Cummings, FNP for their special tender loving care. And also to Rev. Bob and Bonnie Musick, who sent encouraging cards weekly, for many years.
