Roy Darel Murray

Roy Darel Murray, 79 years old, died Monday, September 21, 2020, at his home on McFarland Run Road in the Hagans area of Monongalia County. Roy was born on September 19, 1941, at home on Beulah Road in the Dellslow area, son of the late Charles F. and Ola (Wolfe) Murray.

He began his lifelong employment in the television cable industry with Morgantown Community Cable in 1966, retiring from Comcast in 2008. Roy also farmed while employed full time and after his retirement.

Roy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Kay (Shuman) Murray, his two daughters: Donna and Ralph Utzman, and Daneal and Jay David, and his three sons: David Murray, Dan, and Tiffany Murray, and Darrell and Amber Murray. Roy is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and his sister, Maxine Cole, of Dawson, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
