Rose M. Solomon

Rose M. Solomon, formerly of Blue Horizon Road, Morgantown passed away Sunday June 19, 2011 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. Rose was born August 21, 1929 at Sugar Lane near Rivesville, WV, a daughter to the late Paul and Susie Jezowicz Zukowsky. Rose graduated from Rivesville High School in 1948. She retired as a licensed practical nurse at Ruby Memorial Hospital in 1994 after many years of service. A lifelong Catholic, Rose was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Star City. Surviving are three children, Cathy Warwick and husband Howard of Charleston, WV, William J. Solomon and wife Linda of Star City and Lori Modzik of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren, Tanya Warwick, Matt Solomon and wife Terry, Jacob Solomon and wife Emily, Jason Warwick, Adrian Modzik and Adam Modzik; two great grandchildren, Ashley Warwick and Gabriel Solomon. Rose is also survived by cherished sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and good friends. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband William Solomon; brothers Adam Zukowsky, Joe Zukowsky and Frank Zukowsky and sisters Anna Jordan, Mary Borda and Helen Vozniak. Friends may call the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday June 23, 2011 from 7-9pm and again on Friday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. Father John V. DiBacco officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. Mary's Peace Garden Mausoleum.
