Rosalie Ann Sanders, 79, of Morgantown, passed away on April 24, 2019 at her home. She was born in Morgantown on January 4, 1940, daughter of the late George and Anna Mae (Rosnick) Heinze.
In Rosalie’s spare time she enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She especially liked making potato candy and fudge. Rosalie would also tend to her flower garden and loved to watch and feed the birds.
Rosalie is survived, by her daughter Connie (Mark) Phillips of Foster RI; Four grandchildren, April (Greg) Strahin of Masontown WV, Elden Laudermilch of Morgantown WV, James Laudermilch of Coventry RI, Donald “Screech” Cress of Morgantown WV; seven great grandchildren, Cheyanne (Shayne Deavers) Strahin, Devon and Travis Cress all of Morgantown, Skigh, Savannah, Owyn, and Fallon Laudermilch of Coventry RI; one great-great grandson, Uriah Deavers of Morgantown WV. She is also survived by her sister Eliza Costello of Morgantown WV; brothers and sisters in law, Wayne and Shirley Sanders, Leo and June Sanders, Luther and Gloria Sanders, Paul Sanders, Alice “Sissy” Everson, Keith and Gaylene Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her loving husband Elden “Buddy” Sanders; three sisters, Susan Ginther, Joann Johnson, Stella Mae Hibbs; and five brothers, Robert “Bob” Heinze, John Heinze, James “Jim” Heinze, Donald Heinze, George “Junior” Heinze; brothers and sisters in law, Gladys and James “Jimmy” Steele, Ida Mae and Ultimo “Cog” Biondi, William “Tink” Sanders, Donald Sanders; brother in law Harvey “Dale” Costello; sisters in law, Rita Heinze, Mary Heinze; nieces and nephews, Robert “Bobby” Heinze, Shirley Starr and husband Nathan, Sharon Semans, Kevin and Shane Merrill, Chuckie Ginther, Thomas Semans and her best friend Ruth Glover.
Friends may call at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 3 to 7pm and again on Monday from noon until time of services at 1pm. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Dunn Cemetery.
