Roger Paul Stewart

Roger Paul Stewart, 68, of the Macdale community, Blacksville went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 with his family surrounding him. He was born September 3, 1946 to Paul T. Stewart and the late Jean McDaniel-Stewart. Roger attended the Church of Christ and was strong in his faith. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School. Working next to his son, Roger II, he was the facilities project manager at Soles Electric Company. Surviving is his loving wife and best friend, Peggy L. Stewart of 24 years, his father, Paul T. Stewart and spouse Sue of Charleston, WV; four children, Roger Stewart, II and spouse Kelley of Hurricane, WV, Rodney Stewart and spouse Jann of Fairmont, WV, Cherin Stewart of Fairmont, WV, Julie England and spouse Jason of Morgantown, WV; three step-children, Clint Clovis and fiancé Lyn Kreps of Anchorage, AK, Robin Clovis and fiancé Chris Wade of Wana, WV, and Christopher Clovis and spouse Alberta of Wana, WV; grandchildren, Tiernie, Haley, Braden, Benjamin, Maxwell, Steven, Malichi, and Reese Stewart; Mason, Maya, and Bailee England; step-grandchildren, Abby, Jessica, and Zach Clovis. He is also survived by three sisters; Donna Mullins and spouse Fred of Charleston, WV, Elaine Midkiff and spouse Doug of Columbia, SC, and Janet Smith and spouse Dan of Charlottesville, VA, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also surviving, his brother and sister in Christ, Tom and Martha Sollars, his buddy "Miller" and many others who loved him along with his puppy Kirra Dawn who filled his life with joy and laughter. He loved life and celebrated many "life" parties and cared deeply for his family. Family and friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Monday, July 20th from 2-8pm and again on Tuesday, July 21st from noon until the time of service at 1pm with Rev. Sherry Rawlings and Rose Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at the Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV.
