Robert Dale Woods, Sr.

Robert Dale Woods, Sr., 80 of Grafton Rd., passed away Friday June 10, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital with his family by his side. He was born September 4, 1930 in Morgantown a son of the late Charles Woods and Esther E. Keifer Woods. He is survived by a daughter Sonia Barto and husband Louis of Morgantown; three sons Robert Woods, Jr. of Grafton Rd., Charles Woods and wife Karen of Morgantown, and John Woods of Grafton Rd.; three brothers Delmar Woods and wife Peggy of Morgantown, Terry Woods and wife Helen of Morgantown, and Tom Woods of Pennsylvania. Robert is also survived by 11 grandchildren Christopher Barto and wife Claudia, Douglas Barto and wife Marcella, Charles Woods, Jr., Joey Woods and wife Sue-Ann, Emily Woods, Melissa Woods, Sara Beth Woods, Brittany Giuliani and husband Mike, John Michael Woods, Courtni Woods, and Jonathan Ray Woods; four great grandchildren Chelsea Renae Stevenson, Matthew Woods, Payton Woods, and Benjamin Giuliani; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Della Mae Woods; son Darrell Woody' Woods; and sisters Wanita Woods Howell and Ruth Woods Leach. To honor Robert's wishes a small, private service will be held for immediate family and cremation will be provided by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
