Robert Matlick

Robert Matlick, age 60, of Morgantown, passed away on January 31, 2026, in Morgantown. He was born in Morgantown on August 8, 1965, to James Ray Matlick and Helen Hudkins Matlick.

Robert was a talented and dedicated mechanic who took great pride in his work. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending his time watching classic western films. He will be remembered for his skill, reliability, and love for those closest to him.

He is survived by his father, James Ray Matlick; his stepmother, Betty Matlick; his brothers, James Matlick, Darrell McDonald, and Gary Lee McDonald; his sisters, Tracy Cottrell and Wanda Cornwell; his stepdaughters, Tina Shaffer, Tomi McCrobie, and Regina Wilson; his aunt, Mary Jane Coulter; his uncles, Dave Coulter, Robert Coulter, Charles Coulter, and Virgil Coulter; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Hudkins Matlick; his siblings, Patricia McDonald-Jefferson, Betty Conrad, Lisa McDonald, and Carl Hudkins; his aunts, Lucille Hudkins and Marcilla McDonald; and his uncle, Danny Coulter.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, at which time his cremated remains will be interred with his mother.
