Robert Charles Layton

Robert Charles Layton, born on July 23, 1959, in Neptune, NJ, and a long-time resident of Morgantown, WV, passed away on February 19, 2025.

He is survived by his adored fiancée of 22 years, Misty Vogelpohl, and his beloved mother, Janet Matthews, of Florida. His memory will also be treasured by his sisters, Joann Murphy (Bob) and Linda Haase (Rick), brother Mybon Layton, two nieces, two nephews, four great nephews, and one great niece. His father, Marvin Layton, preceded him in death.

Robert, was an avid fan of NASCAR and WWF/WWE. His joy often found an outlet in engaging with friends on social media and indulging in his favorite games on his phone.

Honoring Robert’s wishes, cremation is being arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, and Robert will be laid to rest with his grandparents at Adelphia Cemetery in New Jersey.
