Robert J. Bobby' Konchesky, 76, of Morgantown passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The Monongalia General Hospital after a long illness. He was born on September 11, 1937 in Morgantown, the son of the late Adam J. Konchesky and Mary Scarcelli Konchesky of Morgantown. Bobby was the owner and operator of Legends Bar in Star City. Prior to Legends, it was also called Adam's Place and The Star City Spot, which he ran with his late father, Adam. He was also the owner of Rachel Rentals Apartments. Bobby loved a good card game, hosting super bowl parties at his bar, boating on Cheat Lake and cooking Italian Food. On Christmas Eve, which was his favorite Holiday, he enjoyed keeping his Mother's tradition of cooking the Feast of the Seven Fishes for his family and friends. Before becoming ill, he loved traveling to Aruba where the locals consider him a native. He is survived by two daughters, Rachel 'Ramie' Friend and Shona Krolczyk both of Morgantown and Grandchildren, Dominique Friend, Josh Krolczyk, Emma Krolczyk and Noah Krolczyk all of Morgantown. He is also survived by his brother, James L. Konchesky of Morgantown. In addition to his parents, he's preceded in death by one sister, Edith Konchesky and one brother, Adam Konchesky Jr. At Bobby's request, we are honoring his wishes for cremation. There will be no visitation or memorial service.
