Robert 'Bob' Coger

Robert (Bob) Coger, 81, of Pursglove, WV, went to be with the Lord at his home on April 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born September 15, 1934 to the late Walter and Audry (Howard) Coger in Files Creek, WV.

Bob was a retired coal miner who loved the outdoors. He liked to hunt, but his passion was the love of camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He loved the Lord, never knew a stranger and enjoyed going to church. He enjoyed singing and Gospel music. Bob's family was his world.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Thelma Joann Kisner Coger; four daughters, Jeanne Burton and husband Allen of Leonardtown, MD, Linda Pauley and husband Frank of Greensboro, PA, Donna Darlene Triplett and husband Rick of Pursglove, WV and Barbara Brown and husband Mike of Pursglove, WV; ten grandchildren, Lindsay Frazier, Adam Burton, William Pauley, Brittany Scott, Leah Shook, Nicholas Triplett, Jacob Triplett, Alicia Uphold, Aaron Brown, and John Brown; 24 great grandchildren; one Brother Harry (Joe) Coger and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by, one infant daughter Cathy Louise Coger; two grandsons, Jarred Triplett, and Matthew Robert Triplett; one great grandson Landen Joseph Scott; one sister, Hilda Harris and four brothers Denzil Coger, Franklin Coger, William Coger, and Paul Coger.

Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 4pm until 7pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery.
