Ricky Ray Keener

Ricky Ray Keener, 63, of Maidsville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday May 7, 2022 as a result of natural causes. He was born in Morgantown a son to Harold ‘Bud’ and Charlotte Hinkle Keener. Rick had been dealing with multiple health issues lately and is now at peace. Rick owned and operated R & R Utility Trenching and also worked for SK DIRTCO for many years. He was a back yard mechanic and was known to tinker on just about anything. He absolutely loved to fish, have a beer and hang out with friends. Rick is survived by his son, Matthew (Ashley) Evanoff; one sister, Donna Marks; two brothers, James and Joe Keener and numerous friends and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime girlfriend, Lisa Evanoff; one brother, Richard Neil Keener; sister Cathy Brown and two brothers-in-law, Clifford ‘Hippie’ Marks and James Brown. Cremation was arranged by the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home. A service of celebration is being planned for a later date.
