Ricky Allen Belt

Rick Belt, son of the late Conrad Belt and Elizabeth Bolyard, step son of Gary Bolyard passed away July 28, 2023 in Lawrenceville, GA.

He is survived by his children, Conard Austin Belt and Clayton Allen Belt, his children’s mother Gina Belt, his brother Darryl Belt, his sisters Vickie Moran, Beth Cadogan and husband Bill, step brothers Gary Bolyard and wife Marsha, Greg Bolyard and wife Marcia, nieces Lauren Moran, Allie Cadogan, Kate Cadogan, Miranda Bolyard Snyder and Erin Bolyard Vandenlangenberg, nephews Ian Moran, Jack Cadogan, Christopher Bolyard and Jacob Bolyard.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman sharing his passion for fishing and hunting with his children Conard and Clayton. As a sports enthusiast he followed professional and collegiate teams and volunteered his time coaching youth athletic teams. Rick started his career in the Navy aboard the USS Nimitz completing multiple global deployments, followed by years as an auto mechanic and ultimately retired from Emory University in 2022 working with its steam plant operations.

At Rick's request, there will be no funeral home visitation. A graveside committal service will be held at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery Morgantown, WV on Monday August 07, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  Military rites will be offered by the Monongalia County Honor Guard and US Navy Mid-Atlantic Honor Guard.
