Richard Thomas Hall

Richard “Dick” Thomas Hall, 72, of Morgantown passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Dick was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 18, 1944, the son of the late John R. Hall Jr. and Betty Sue Titus Lowe.

Dick was a 1962 graduate of Morgantown High School. He served in the US Navy from 1962-1967, which included his civilian position at the Pentagon. He then worked at the WVU Computer Center and as a manager at Chico’s Dairy Mart. Dick went on to work at Jo’s Globe Distributing Company. In 2011, he retired from the US Department of Energy after 17 years, as a contractor.

Dick was known for his witty sense of humor and was always quick to tell a good joke. He enjoyed his weekend shopping trips around town. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his grand-furry Oscar.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Maria Hall; children, Rick Hall, Lindsey Werner and husband, Brian; step-children, Bob Fizer III and wife, Stacey, Lisa Little and husband, Rich and David Fizer and wife, Tracey; grandchildren, Alana Werner, Dainan Werner, Kylene Fizer, Hunter Fizer, Olivia Abbott, Maggie Little, Gracie Little and Gigi Little. He is also survived by his sister, Susan McCourt and husband Dave, brothers, Robert Lowe, Scott Lowe, Steven May, and wife, Judy and John Mark Hall; and several nieces and nephews; and step-father Waldo Lowe.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his grandson, Campbell Benjamin Fizer and nephew, Aaron Lowe.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dick’s life at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Friday, April 15, 2016 from 2-4pm and again from 6-8pm. Westover VFW 9916 will pay tribute at 7pm with military honors.
