Richard Lee Shaffer

Richard “Ricky” Lee Shaffer, son of Terissa Rosemarie Rocco Shaffer and Thomas Ross Shaffer, left this earth for a home with Jesus.

After graduating from Morgantown High, Ricky started studying at Trinity Christian College in Dunedin, Fla. Upon returning to WV, he graduated from Fairmont State and later WVU as a Doctor of Divinity, just three days before his tragic heart attack. He was so proud of his diploma and let his friends and family know by saying, “I worked so hard for so many years, and now I am fulfilled.” Little did he know, after 31 days in the hospital, he would be rejoicing and celebrating his accomplishments with God.

Private services are under the care of the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Ricky will be laid to rest at Forks of Cheat Cemetery.
