Richard Glenn Carder, Jr.

Richard Glenn Carder Jr., 59, of Morgantown, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Tammy Carder; his parents, Richard Glenn Carder Sr. and Alice Marie Carder; his one and only daughter, Amy Boden and husband William Boden; his beloved and cherished grandchildren, William Boden II and McKinley Boden; and his canine companion, Bear.

Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandson and father. Richard worked at the Robert C. Byrd Health Science Center for 29 years. He was a lifetime member of the River Road Volunteer Fire Department.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary Alice Carder and Oggie Glenn Carder; maternal grandparents, Henry Guminey and Minetta Guminey; and his father-in-law, Robert “Blinker” Maxwell.

The family will welcome friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 4PM until 8PM and again on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Reverend Bill Page officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Burnt Meeting House Cemetery.
