ReBecca Elane Summers Wilson, 71 of Aarons Creek Rd., Morgantown, passed peacefully into the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday morning, July 15, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Morgantown on Feb. 15, 1948, daughter to Delmer Harold Summers and Golda Dale Belt.
Becky worked for Mon General Hospital in Communications as a Supervisor. She also worked at WVU Towers as a Supervisor of Housekeeping. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching TV, Joel Osteen, crafting and loved vacations at the beach. She also cherished time spent with family and friends. She was a very caring lady who always put her friends and family first regardless of how she was feeling. She always had a smile that would light up a room. Strong in her faith, she would thank God daily for all he did for her.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Wilson, Jr. whom she married on May 7, 1965 one son, Tommy Wilson of Morgantown, his children, Karley, Casey and Gunner Wilson all of Morgantown; her daughter, Lori McClure and husband James of Morgantown; grandchildren, Mary Elaine Reckart or ‘Little Angel’ as Becky referred to her, Kenna and Daniel McClure and her loving dogs, Bruno and Maggie who brought her so much joy and were loved so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmer and Golda Summers & two brothers, Allen and Art Summers.
The family would like to thank WV Caring Hospice and special thanks to Lori, Carrie & Trudy for all their love and support. Also, a big thank you to Donna Pifer, Beverly Miller, Jean McDaniel, John & Kristi, Ty & Emily Shaffer and so many other family & friends for all their love and support.
Family and friends will be received at Burns Chapel United Methodist Church, Summers School Rd. Morgantown, on Wednesday from 3 pm where visitation will continue until the funeral services on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 11 am with Pastor Elmer Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
