Rebecca Lynn 'Becky' Whipkey

Rebecca Lynn ‘Becky’ Whipkey, 47, of Mt. Morris, PA, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 28, 2016 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Becky was born January 4, 1969 in Morgantown daughter to the late Willard and Carolyn Bowman Taylor.

Becky worked at WVU as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Guy B. ‘Junior’ Whipkey, Jr.; one daughter Jessica Whipkey; one son, Chad Whipkey all of Mt. Morris, PA; grandchildren, Keirsten Huff, Cloe Huff, Colton Huff and Bella Huff and one great granddaughter, Cataleya Phillips. Also surviving is one sister Lyvonne Webber and husband David of Morgantown; Braden Fletcher and Lola Griffin who Becky considered her grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; friends and extended family.
Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am with Pastor Milford Watters and Pastor John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to thank her daughter Jessica, Alice Rogers, Tonya Corder, Pat Rogers, Lisa Reed and Amedysis Hospice for the compassionate and expert care given to Becky in recent days.
Also special thanks to Christina Householder for always making Becky’s hair look so beautiful.
